BOC Handed over Rs 5 Billion dividend to the Treasury
The board of directors of the Bank of Ceylon ( BOC ) , one of the premier state – owned commercial banks in the country, has approved a dividend contribution of Rs 5 billion to the General Treasury,its sole shareholder.
This decision reflects the Bank’s continued financial performance during the previous year.
The official notice of this contribution was handed over to Dr Harshana Suriyapperuma , Secretary to the Treasury, on 3rd July 2025, at the Ministry of Finance,planning and Economic Development. Me Dilip Silva , Deputy Secretary to the Treasure , Mr Athula Kumara, Director General of the Department of Public Enterprises, Mr Kavinda de Soysa, Chairman of bank of Ceylon , Mr Russel Fonseka , General Manager and Mr Ruwan Kumara , Chief Financial Officer , participated in this event.
